Tuesday Tournament Practice
For those of you who want to up your tournament game to get ready for WRL or other competitive events, our Tuesday evenings are a great chance for you to practice!
Tuesday evenings will have three timed hanchan starts. If you come between hanchan, you can sit down for freeplay until the next hanchan begins. The door fee for non-Sparrow's Nest members is $15.
- Hanchan 1: 6:15p-7:15p
- Hanchan 2: 7:30p-8:30p
- Hanchan 3: 8:45p-9:45p
We are pleased to announce that we will now be running a leaderboard, with prizes available to monthly and quarterly winners! Players must play a minimum of 4 hanchans to qualify.
How it works:
Players will have their games logged in the leaderboard system under their name. Players can choose to not have their games logged permanently, and instead be logged as a guest if desired. If logged as a guest, games will not count towards the monthly or quarterly prize. Leaderboards for both monthly standings and quarterly standings will be updated at the links above.
Quarters are run as the following: September-November, December-February, March-May, June-August*. Players will follow a pre-determined rule set that will be announced in the discord and on this page for each month and rule sets will change each quarter to practice multiple rule sets over the year. Set play finals will be WRC no modifications.
- August 2026: WRC with red 5's modification, full penalties. Uma 15/5.
- September-November 2026: TBD
The top ranked player after the month or quarter will be determined by cumulative score only. Winners will be contacted each month by admin to claim their prize. Players can win multiple months or quarters, however they are subject to the additional terms and conditions listed.
Prizes are as follows:
- Monthly winners: All Tuesday practices for the next month free OR $50 value discount on membership
- Quarterly winners: Invitation to set play finals (Approximately September/October each year**) + 3 months of Tuesday Practices free OR $150 value discount on membership OR entry into 1 WRL major/2 WRL minors held at Sparrow's Nest free***
- Finals winners: Prizes TBD

Additional terms and conditions:
* August 2026 will not qualify for the quarterly winner but will qualify for the monthly winner.
** Finals date is subject to change as needed. Players can decline invitation, next person in ranking will be offered the invite. Players can only qualify for finals once, if a player qualifies multiple times then the next player in rank will be offered a seat for the quarter.
*** Applies to current WRL season only. If season has finished, applies to next season. Players additionally cannot overlap monthly and quarterly prizes. This means if someone is both the monthly and quarterly winner at the end of the quarter, they can choose to claim the monthly discount prize listed OR the quarterly discount prize listed, but not both. They CAN choose to claim the quarterly seat to the finals and the monthly discount prize, and the remaining quarterly discount prize will be forfeit. If a player chooses not to take the quarterly seat to the finals, that will be offered to the next player in rank who qualifies, but the discount will not be offered to anyone else.
